![]() Large maps with emperors don't take nearly as long, maybe an extra minute or two, but on extra large having to wait almost 10 minutes for an AI to finish their turn gets very arduous. If there is a group of 6 manticore riders, the AI moves each manticore seperately even though they are all moving to the same position, which takes 6x as long. I assume the problem mainly stems from the AI moving one unit at a time, instead of entire groups of 6. Main factor in turn speed is the number of units to move, so anything reducing that would help.Īll three of us have pretty powerful computers (can play almost all games on extreme graphics, etc) and the problem is really only on extra large maps. If you prefer speed over specific map settings, reducing map size, AI count and AI difficulty are all helpful. AIs will also be distributed across all available machines, which is why its best to both close applications. AI will claim any CPU power you have to speed things up, so giving it bit more should help. Mythical Let me know if I missed one or this list is not correct.
